To God From Lonely in Prayer

Loneliness is not what God is asking from you. God is good and loving unto all His works. He made the plants and the beasts, and set them ends to accomplish here on earth.

The gifts of God is given to you today.

Pray to day - Grant us, O Lord, in all our duties thy help, in all our perplexities thy counsel, in all our dangers thy protection, and in all our sorrows thy peace; for the sake of Jesus Christ our Saviour. Shield us, O God, from the darkness of soul which seeth thee not, and from the loneliness of heart which heareth not thy voice, and through life and in the valley of the shadow of death, forsake us not; for thy Name’s sake. Blessed Christ, who drew near to him disciples as they walked together by the way and were sad; So draw near to us as we journey along our daily way. Open to us the meaning of life, and reveal thyself as our strength and our companion; as thou art our Lord and Saviour evermore. Amen.

Teach us to pray our problems to you God

A pupil needs a teacher, who knows his work, who has the gift of teaching, who in patience and love will descend to the pupil's needs.

Lord, teach us to pray. Yes, we feel the need now of being taught to pray. At first, there is no work appears so simple; later on, none that is more difficult; and the confession is forced from us: We know not how to pray, as we ought. It is true we have God's Word, with its clear and sure promises; but sin has so darkened our mind, that we know not always how to apply the Word.

Let but the deep undertone of all our prayer be the teachable moment that comes from a sense of ignorance, and from faith in Him as a perfect teacher, and we may be sure we shall be taught, we shall learn to pray in power.

In spiritual things, we do not always seek the most needful things, or fail in praying according to the law of the sanctuary. In earthly things, we are still less able to avail ourselves of the wonderful liberty our Father has given us to ask what we need.

Prayer can only be learned in the school of much prayer, for practice makes perfect. Amid the painful consciousness of ignorance and unworthiness, in the struggle between believing and doubting, the heavenly art of effectual prayer is learnt. Because, even when we do not remember it, there is One, the Beginner and Finisher of faith and prayer, who watches over our praying, and sees to it that in all who trust Him for it their education in the school of prayer shall be carried on to powerful praying on your behalf God.

By His Holy Spirit, He has access to our heart, and teaches us to pray by showing us the sin that hinders the prayer, or giving us the assurance that we please God. He teaches, by giving not only thoughts of what to ask or how to ask, but by breathing within us the very spirit of prayer, by living within us as the Great Intercessor.

Prayer for the Beginning of the Week

Prayer for the beginning of the week, Sunday night prayer for protection and blessing in the beginning of the week.

God, merciful Father, I lift up my hands up to You in thanks, praise, and glory for the blessing to come this week. Protected me this week and all the days of my life from all evil and misfortune. I pray You forgive me all my sins, wherever I do wrong. Surround me this week with Your holy angels. Protect me with Your outstretched arms; for from my heart do love You. I wait upon Your goodness this week, and my soul trusts in You, the living God, for You are my refuge and my Savior. Cover me this week with Your goodness, and encompass me with Your mercy, that I be safe-guarded in body and soul this week Lord God.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
Proverbs 3 1 My son, do not forget my teaching,     but keep my commands in your heart,
2 for they will prolong your life many years     and bring you peace and prosperity.
3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you;     bind them around your neck,     write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Then you will win favor and a good name     in the sight of God and man.
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart     and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,     and he will make your paths straight.
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;     fear the Lord and shun evil.
8 This will bring health to your body     and nourishment to your bones.
9 Honor the Lord with your wealth,     with the firstfruits of all your crops;
10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing,     and your vats will brim over with new wine.

What does repent of my sins mean?

At the end of his sermons, Joel Osteen says, “Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins come into my heart and I will make you my Lord and Savior.” But what does repent mean and how do you repent for Jesus to come into your heart?
Repent means change. To repent is to change from sin to belief in and obedience to God. True repentance leads a person to say, "I have sinned" and proves it with action not words. Repentance is an honest, regretful acknowledgement of sin with commitment to change. Repentance requires true humility not asking the Lord for forgiveness with the intent to sin again.
To repent a person must turn from evil, and to turn to the Lord. When one is guilty of sin, the spoken confession of the sin is a necessary step to receive divine forgiveness.
