Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom

II Corinthians 3:17 As a believer in Jesus, the Spirit of the Lord dwells in me and makes me free because where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

Do you feel free today? Maybe that's not the first thing you thought of when your feet hit the floor this morning, but Scripture tells us that it is for freedom that Christ has set us free. In other words, God wants you to be free today simply because He wants you to enjoy your freedom! This journey of life can be exciting because we can find new freedoms every single day.

II Corinthians 317 As a believer in Jesus, the Spirit of the Lord dwells in me and makes me free because where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.Freedom comes, first of all, when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. He sets us free from the law of sin and death so we can have eternal life with Him. We don't have to live defeated, depressed, anxious, sick, upset, bitter or in the past any longer. We are free from that bondage! The more we separate ourselves from negative, self-defeating attitudes and behaviors, the more we will experience God's freedom.

Every time you release an area of your life to Him, when you choose God's Word over the temptations of the world, you are finding new freedom. Below are some biblically based "freedom" confessions for you to meditate on and declare over your life. I encourage you to look up the Scripture references and ask God to give you a deeper revelation of His freedom.

I believe that as you read and study God's Word, you will feel empowered, energized, and strengthened…you will feel free because God's Word is truth, and His Truth makes us free! I am free today because Christ has set me free! I will not allow myself to be burdened down with wrong thinking, negative attitudes, or anything that displeases God. (Galatians 5:1)

As a believer in Jesus, the Spirit of the Lord dwells in me and makes me free because where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom! (II Corinthians 3:17) I have full freedom and confidence to boldly approach the Father in prayer and worship. The Lord hears, and answers my prayers and sets me free! (Hebrews 10:19; Psalm 118:5) I am unquestionably free—free from the past, free from fear, free from worry, anxiety, depression, poverty, sickness, and lack—because Jesus has set me free indeed! (John 8:36; Galatians 3:13).
