Not Worthy of Love

Jesus is a friend of sinners

Why would God love a no good person like me? These are not words from a bully but from an inner tormentor, doubter, and pessimist, yourself. We say meaner things to ourselves every day than would a worst enemy. Do not be your own enemy by convincing yourself that you are not good enough for the Lord to love you.

Matthew 11:28
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

How to be worthy of love? There is always some way to make things better with the spiritual you. Even a simple shift in attitude can make the difference between just another bad day in a so-called horrible life or a day of happiness and accomplishment thanking God for his blessings seen and unseen. We second-guess ourselves with self-bullying thoughts and behaviors thinking we are not worthy of love: yes God loves you.

Romans 5:8
But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Gain control of self-bullying behaviors by treating yourself with understanding and compassion and talking out loud to God. The emotional scarring and difficulties with self-image leaves a long lasting impression of insecurity within. No one is perfect... that's why pencils have erasers and God allows U-turns.

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
